Hi! I’m Romesh, a UX/UI designer with a passion for creating intuitive, human-centered, and impactful digital experiences. My journey in design and technology has been shaped by curiosity, creativity, and a desire to bridge the gap between people and technology.

From the shores of Sri Lanka to the Nordic north
Originally from the beautiful island of Sri Lanka, I now call Finland my home. The contrast between these two places; the warmth of the tropics and the crisp, serene beauty of the Nordics has influenced my approach to design. I believe in simplicity, functionality, and aesthetics that serve a purpose.
With over five years of experience in the software engineering and UX/UI design industry, I have always been at the intersection of logic and creativity. My journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, where I developed a strong technical foundation.
However, my passion for understanding users and crafting engaging experiences led me to pursue a master’s in Strategic Marketing, broadening my perspective on digital products and branding. Today, I am further refining my expertise by pursuing my second master’s degree in Human-Technology Interaction at Tampere University in Finland, delving deep into how technology can enhance human experiences.

Outside of design
Design is a huge part of my life, but when I’m not designing, you’ll likely find me exploring nature trails, capturing moments through photography, enjoying movies, diving into books, or engaging in strategic board games.
Above all, I’m passionate about helping those in need. As a voluntary member of Nuwara Api Charity Organization in Sri Lanka, Tampere Missio, and the Finnish Red Cross (Suomen Punainen Risti) in Finland, I strive to make a difference in my community.
