From the heart of Sri Lanka to the Nordic North
Originally from Kandy, Sri Lanka, I now call Finland my home. The contrast between these two places the warmth and vibrancy of Sri Lanka’s hill country and the calm, minimal beauty of the Nordics has strongly influenced my design philosophy. I believe in simplicity, functionality, and aesthetics that serve a clear purpose.

A foundation rooted in tech, strategy and human insight
My academic background gives me a strong multidisciplinary perspective. I hold: a Bachelor’s (Hons) degree in IT, specializing in Software Engineering, an MSc in Strategic Marketing, and I’m currently completing an MSc in Human-Technology Interaction (GPA 4.7/5).
This blend allows me to balance user needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives with confidence.
With over 6+ years of professional experience, I currently work as a Lead Product Designer at SuntechIT Global, a global software development and consulting company, where I lead design initiatives for in-house products/services and for global partners.

Design is a huge part of my life, but when I’m not designing, you’ll often find me exploring new places, spending time in nature, or capturing moments through photography. Whether it’s a nature trail or discovering hidden gems in a new city, these experiences fuel my creativity and keep me inspired.

Giving back
Designing with purpose, living with empathy
Above all, I’m deeply passionate about helping those in need. I’m a founding member of Nuwara Api Charity Organization in Sri Lanka and a voluntary member of Tampere Missio and the Finnish Red Cross (Suomen Punainen Risti) in Finland.
Giving back is an important part of who I am, both as a designer and as a human being. I strive to make a difference in my community.
